Money Team Law Firm is being promoted by Floyd Mayweather Jr. as a nationwide attorney network, with the undefeated champion touting a “championship mentality” for clients across all 50 states.
In a social media rollout last week, the Money Team Law Firm described itself as a network of lawyers that is not afraid to take on large corporations and insurance companies. In a promotional video, Mayweather urged car crash and personal injury victims to hire attorneys who fight, while marketing materials referenced his 50-0 professional boxing record.
The firm’s website says legal representation has long been reserved for the wealthy and well connected, and that it aims to remove barriers that have kept millions from access to counsel. It remains unclear from the marketing materials whether Mayweather owns the firm or is serving as a brand ambassador.
Money Team Law Firm structure and registration
The Money Team Law Firm is incorporated and headquartered in Arizona, which since 2021 has permitted nonlawyers to own and hold financial stakes in law firms. However, court administrators with the Arizona Supreme Court’s Administrative Office of the Courts said the firm is not registered as an alternative business structure, and Mayweather is not listed as an owner.
Corporate records filed with the Arizona Corporation Commission list McDonald Worley, a plaintiffs’ firm, as the principal for the Money Team Law Firm. McDonald Worley’s website notes offices in Texas, Florida, Nevada, New York and Washington, D.C. A request for comment to McDonald Worley was not immediately returned.
Mayweather’s legal backdrop
Mayweather, who won a bronze medal at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics before capturing at least 15 major world titles across multiple weight classes, has faced recent legal challenges. He is charged with two felonies in Las Vegas over allegations that he wrote a $200,000 check with insufficient funds to purchase a luxury watch. He is also a defendant in civil suits, including a dispute alleging he broke a contract to face Mike Tyson and Manny Pacquiao.
In 2011, Mayweather was sentenced to 90 days in jail after pleading guilty to a domestic violence charge and no contest to two harassment charges.

Earlier known as “Pretty Boy” Floyd, Mayweather rebranded in 2007 as “Money” Mayweather and built the Money Team as a lifestyle and marketing platform. The new legal venture is the latest extension of that brand, with its messaging emphasizing toughness, results and willingness to fight on behalf of clients.
