Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies responded to the Kamala Harris Malibu home on Friday night after a woman twice showed up at the property without permission, according to officials and published reports.

Reports state the woman arrived by Uber and tried to speak with security at the approximately $8 million residence. She was directed to leave but returned later, prompting Harris’ security team to contact authorities shortly after 10 p.m. The woman was not arrested, according to local broadcast reports.
Lt. Jason Duron, a watch commander at the Malibu/Lost Hills station, said deputies are increasing patrols around the property as a precaution. A spokesperson for Harris, Eduardo Negrón, said security personnel stopped an individual who entered the property illegally before the person reached the house. Negrón added that Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff, were not home at the time and expressed gratitude to security and law enforcement for their quick response.
According to prior statements, Harris’ Secret Service protection, which former President Joe Biden extended for a year beyond the customary six months for former vice presidents, was revoked last year by President Donald Trump.
The couple purchased the Malibu property in January. Harris, a California native, previously served as San Francisco district attorney, California attorney general, and U.S. senator for the state before joining Biden’s presidential ticket.
