Presley Gerber dies at 27, the son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, according to a statement shared by the family through a representative. The family asked for privacy as they mourn.
Records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner state that Gerber died Sunday at a rehabilitation facility. An autopsy has not yet been completed.

Gerber was the couple’s only son and the older brother of model and actress Kaia Gerber.
He had spoken publicly about mental health challenges in interviews and on social media. In a magazine profile published in August 2026, Kaia discussed her brother’s mental health and substance use, with the publication characterizing his experience as a decade-long struggle with addiction.
Kaia, 24, said the family’s approach to privacy changed as her brother chose to be candid about his struggles, adding that trying to conceal such issues can make someone feel ashamed.
In December 2025, Gerber posted, then deleted, an Instagram video in which he talked about taking medications including Xanax, Valium and buprenorphine while describing panic attacks and recovery, according to a celebrity news outlet. He said he hoped his openness would help others feel less alone and connect him with people who could offer support.
He also addressed his mental health on a podcast appearance in February 2023, saying that aiding even a small number of people out of a dark period would be meaningful to him. The attention to mental health echoes other public figures who have recently shared health struggles, including reality star Porsha Williams, who disclosed a hysterectomy in an emergency surgery account.
Gerber was charged with DUI in 2019.
