Kandice Gunter missing reports in Wyoming have prompted a search after the 30-year-old mother did not arrive to collect her children from an after-school program, according to the Casper Police Department and family members.
Police said Gunter was last seen on the morning of Oct. 29, 2026, in Natrona County. Her sister, Kayla Gunter, said she alerted authorities when Kandice failed to pick up her children, ages 9 and 6, from the Boys & Girls Club on Wednesday. Kayla said the lapse was out of character for her sister.
Kayla said the two last spoke by phone at 10:41 a.m. local time Wednesday and nothing in the conversation seemed unusual. Family members were told that Gunter’s phone later pinged near Gillette around noon that day, and police said the device was last located at about 12:30 p.m. MT on Friday along Highway 387 near the Natrona County line.

According to police, Gunter was believed to be traveling in a gray 2016 GMC Canyon pickup with a Wyoming temporary registration. She was reported missing on the evening of Oct. 29 after she was last seen in person that morning.
Relatives said Gunter moved from Nevada to Casper about a month earlier to be closer to her children. She had been staying with their father and helping care for them, and Kayla said the transition appeared to be going well. The sisters typically spoke several times a day, and there had been no indication that Kandice planned to leave or cut off contact, according to Kayla.
In social media posts in the days before she vanished, Gunter wrote, “Success for me, happens in silence.” In June, she posted about “focusing on a better me. Again,” alongside a heart-mending emoji.

Gunter is described as a white female, 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 185 pounds, with black hair and blue eyes. She has a butterfly tattoo on her neck.
