Initial testing provided a measure of relief. Team officials said X-rays at SoFi Stadium were negative, and Dart is scheduled for an MRI on Tuesday to determine the extent of the damage.

The injury occurred on a third-down deep attempt when Dart was hit mid-throw by Rams defenders Josaiah Stewart and Byron Young. His left knee bent awkwardly as he was contacted in the air.
Dart fell and grabbed at the knee before trainers arrived, then walked to the sideline without assistance. Medical staff evaluated him in the sideline tent and then directed him to the locker room.
A cart was available, but Dart chose to walk slowly down the sideline, which offered a modest sign of encouragement in the immediate aftermath. Giants general manager Joe Schoen told a sideline reporter that Dart is “going to be OK.”
The team punted after the incomplete pass. Dart finished the opening possession 3 of 5 for 20 yards, and Jameis Winston entered at quarterback for the remainder of the game.

Dart’s second NFL season had started strongly. In Week 1, he completed 23 of 29 passes for 230 yards and three touchdowns in a divisional win over the Dallas Cowboys, the best outing of his career by passer rating.
