Nepal army rescues survivors from a hydropower tunnel in Rasuwa, where rescue teams have been working to reach people trapped after severe flooding, according to officials.

Video released by the Prime Minister’s Office shows soldiers carrying evacuees and crawling through heavy mud to reach others inside the tunnel linked to the hydropower project.

An update from authorities on Thursday estimated that more than 100 people were trapped in the same tunnel, underscoring the scale of the operation.

The tunnel rescue is part of broader emergency efforts across Nepal following deadly flooding. Local police said the national death toll rose to 475 on Friday.
